Hero's Quest (Members Only)
Difficulty Level: Extremely Hard
Notes: You must have finished all other quests to start. You also need the following stats: Level 50 Mining, Level 25 Herblaw, Level 53 Fishing and Level 53 Cooking.
Start: Start in the Hero's Guild, North of Taverly. Talk to the Lady, Achetties, outside.
- Achetties will tell you about the three items needed to join the Hero's Guild. These are Firebird's feather, Cooked Lava Eel and the Master Thieves Armband.
The Firebird Feather: Take a pickaxe and head to White Wolf Mountain. Locate the rockslide, and use the pickaxe on it. When you come to the ladders, follow this sequence: down left ladder and back up next ladder, then down left ladder past Ice giants and then up next ladder, then there's only one ladder to go down and you there with the Ice Queen. Kill the Ice Queen (lvl 103), and she will drop the Ice Gloves.
- Go back to the Bank, and deposit all your Weapons and Armour, but keep the Ice Gloves. Head to Port Sarim, and catch the boat to Entrana. There, you will find the Firebird. Kill it and pick up it's feather with the gloves equipped.
Master Thieves Armband: You will need a friend in the opposite Thieves Clan that you're in. So if you're in Blackarm, you will need a Phoenix members, and vise versa.
BlackArm Gang Member: Go to Varrock and speak to Katrine about the Master Thieves band (she's south of the sword shop). She will tell you that you need to steal Scar Face Pete's candlesticks. Scarface pete is in Brimhaven, on Karamja. Before you go to Karamja, make sure you bring a set of full Black armour with you (Large Helmet, Plate Mail and Legs). Attempt to enter the Mansion, and you will be stopped by Garv. Show him the ID papers that Katrine gave you. Garv will then give you a key. You MUST give the key to your Phoenix Gang friend. The phoenix member will Arch the guard called Grip, who will drop some keys. Take the keys and go to the treasure room. Take the candlesticks. Give one of them to your phoenix friend, and return to Katrine. She will reward you with Master Thieves Armband.
Phoenix Gang Member: Go to Varrock, to the Phoenix Gang hideout. Talk to Straven about the Master Thieves Armband. He tells you to steal Scarface Pete's Candlesticks. Get yourself a Bow and some Arrows, and head to Brimhaven on Karamja and talk to Charlie the Cook and Alfonse the Waiter at the Shrimp and Parot inn. Give the secret password (Gherkin).
- Get the key from your Blackarm Friend!
- Go through the secret panel at the back of the Shrimp and Parot, past the guard dogs, and into the Mansion (use the key your friend gave you). You will see holes in the wall. Use your Bow and Arrows to kill Grip. He will drop the keys for your Blackarm friend.
- Find your Blackarm Friend, and retrieve the Candlestick. Head back to the Phoenix Gang Hideout and give the candlestick to Straven. He will reward you with the Master Thieves Armband.
Cooked Eel: Go to Port Sarim, and talk to Gerrent at the Fishing Shop. He will tell you how to make an oily rod. You need Blamish Snail Slime, water, a vial and a Harralander Herb. Fill the vial with water, add the Blamish Snail Slime and the Harralander Herb. Use the potion on your Fishing Rod (NOT fly fishing rod).
- Go to the Members dungeon (south of Taverly). Before you go, make sure you have Bait with you!! Find the Jail (near the Black Knights) and kill the Jail Guard. Take the key he drops, and free the man inside the Jail cell. He will give you a dusty key. Use the key to open the door near the Lesser Demons (to the north). Run past the Blue Dragons, to the lava just outside their lair. Use your Oily Rob and Bait on the Lava pit. You will get a Lava Eel. Cook it, and return to Achetties.
- When you return to Achetties, give her all the items. She will now grant you access to the Hero's Guild!!
